People love The Sims, which is why it’s the best selling PC game of all time. The Sims allows people to watch their Sim characters go through their simulated daily lives– eating, sleeping, socializing, etc. Sounds a lot like reality TV, right? Both have manufactured drama, and satisfy our desire to eavesdrop on other’s lives.
In August of 2013, PBS kicked off a brand new weekly web series called GAME/SHOW, hosted by gamer and reporter Jamin Warren. The show provides relevant commentary on the current state of the video game industry in the same style as other PBS-funded web series such as Idea Channel.
