As my NES collection grows, it has gotten more and more difficult to find wanted games in the wild. Fortunately, I haven’t gotten to that point in my collecting yet when it’s nearly impossible to find titles on my wanted list at local game stores.
In fact, there are plenty of common games that I’m still slowly scratching off my list, including some of the games below. I currently only own about half of the black box games, which are generally easy to find. I intend to complete my black box collection by the end of the year.
This particular trip was not unique. I’m finding that I’ve found a comfortable routine with certain areas of my collecting. When I find that a local store is having a sale that could be applied to NES games, I take a little trip there with my trusty collection list and scope out games on my wanted list. This is what I picked up on this trip:
- Slalom
- Magic Johnson’s Fast Break
- Nobunaga’s Ambition
- Swords and Serpents
- Dragon Spirit
- Bionic Commando
- Ikari Warriors II
- Gremlins 2
